The Midtown Blues Band is now a member of Music Nova Scotia (http://musicnovascotia.ca).

MBB Live at The ECBS BLUES Cruise

On Saturday, July 24th, the Midtown Blues Band performed LIVE to a “sold out” crowd for the ECBS BLUES CRUISE on-board the Haligonian III (Halifax, NS).

The Midtown Blues Band would like to thank everyone involved with the ECBS Blues Cruise, namely the Executive of the East Coast Blues Society, Ian O’Donnell (Sound), Murphy’s on the Water management and staff, and Long & MacQuade for assistance with the equipment.

The MBB would also like to thank all those great BLUES fans who were in attendance that evening!

GREAT BLUES MUSIC, GREAT WEATHER AND GREAT CROWD!!! What more can anyone ask for!

MBB @ The Halifax Biker Bash

The Midtown Blues Band would like to take this opportunity to thank all those fans who came out and listened to the Band’s performance at the Halifax Biker Bash.

A special thank you to our Band members (Bob Naugler, Darren Pardy, John Dwinell, Bob MacDonald, Darrell Flemming and Kim O’Brien) for their performance; and of course, Garrie Cook for joining the MBB on stage yesterday for a number of tunes!  Way to go guys!!

Midtown Blues Band – Live Performance at CFB 12-Wing Shearwater

As part of the UNITED WAY KICK-OFF Campaign, the Midtown Blues Band will perform LIVE at CFB 12-Wing Shearwater from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, September 25th.

MBB Update – Song Now Recorded for “Spread the Net” Fundraiser

The Midtown Blues Band (MBB) were involved in a fundraiser last November for the “Spread the Net” campaign, which helps stop the spread of malaria in Africa.  After the fundraiser event, the MBB, along with two other bands, recorded songs for a soon-to-be released CD.  This CD will be available shortly and proceeds will also be used for the “Spread the Net” campaign.

The Midtown Blues Band wishes to congratulate all those performers involved with the Rick Jeffrey Tribute Band.  Their LIVE performance on Sunday, August 9th, 2009 at the Dutch Mason Blues Festival was special and awe-inspiring!

The “Friends of Rick Jeffery Society” is a non-profit organization established to promote the memory of Mr. Jeffery and help promote blues music.  Orders for the limited edition release of Thirteen Vultures are now available, with proceeds going to Mr. Jeffery’s estate.  All recording, design, film and production work for Thirteen Vultures is being done in Nova Scotia.

The CD/DVD Release Party for “13 Vultures” will continue at Bearly’s House of Blues, Halifax, NS on Friday, August 21st and Saturday, August 22nd.
